1899 aug 8th the san Ciriaco hurricane hits with 115mph winds from the ESE. Winds at approach on SE Puerto Rico were est at 140mph. 3,369 deaths reported in Puerto Rico.Closest approach of eye to Cabo Rojo sw PR was 31 miles to the north.

1930 Sept 2nd, 120mph winds just south from the ESE
1932 Sept 27th, 145 mph (hurdat)from due east over land Newspaper article.
1967 Sept 10th, Hurricane Beulah passes to the south with 145mph winds from the ESE
1996 hurricane Hortense sept 10th, 80mph winds from the SSE press
29.23 & a 4 ft storm surge 19 killed 20 inches of rain fell leaving 3/4 of
people in Puerto Rico without power.
1998 Sept 22nd,hurricane Georges hits here from the ESE after
traveling the length of the island.Winds at this point were 105mph dumps heavy
rain on the area causes 12 billion dollars damage & kills 12 in P.R
