Notes About This Product

Extrapolated surface pressures can sometimes be very inaccurate, especially with altitude changes. Suspect data is not included in the pressure and wind columns, but sometimes data that should be marked as suspect is not. Additionally, some wind data may not be from the storm itself. If a flight travels through an area of high winds aloft on the way to or from the storm they could be higher than the storm itself and therefore not at all representative of the storm itself. The time noted is the time of the first observation within the last message recorded for the mission. The pressure given is the lowest and the winds the highest in that particular mission among the observations our site downloaded and processed. If some observations were not processed on our site then these values may not contain the most notable values.
