• 1996: Bertha hits Wilmington N.C. on the 12th & 13th with 105mph winds causing moderate damage.
• 1997: Danny is born on the 17th in the mid Gulf of Mexico & would later hit Alabama on the 18th & 19th as a minimal hurricane.
• 2003, July 15th: Hurricane Claudette hits Matagorda, Texas with 80mph winds & gusts to 110mph, causing significant damage around Matagorda Bay. This rare system formed in the east Caribbean in July.
• 2005, July 18th: Major Hurricane Emily hits south of Cozumel, Mexico causing heavy damage.
