- 1931 September 16th hit with 85 mph winds just south from the east-northeast.
- 1950 Hurricane Item hits with 90 mph (HURDAT) on October 10th from the northeast.
- 2010 September 17th, Hurricane Karl hits just north with 120 mph winds from the east-northeast while weakening quickly. Heavy flooding in Veracruz & surrounding areas. In the municipality of Teocelo, two trucks with five persons on board were swept away by the current of the fish River. Two occupants, identified as Diego López López and Lucius Morales, bodies were located metres later and the remaining three were declared as missing.
